Summer 2023 The Big Trip! - Day 3

Location: Driving Day to Yellowstone

Weather: 70's and sunny

For our third day we got up early and made our way up to Midway Geyser Basin where we got our first look at the big pools.

Due to a lot of road construction between Midway Geyser Basin and Old Faithful we decided to change our plans for the day and headed North. Next stop was Fountain Paint Pot, a crowd favorite and some of the best geysers we'd seen so far.

Next stop was a drive down the Firehole canyon drive, where we got in some rock climbing and a great shot of the water fall.

 

Next up was Gibbon Falls.

Last stop for the morning was Canyon Village, where we got yummy ice cream and did some shopping. On the drive home we saw several Bison, but this one was the closest to the side of the road.
